Mikron Theatre Company at the Gaskell Memorial Hall, Silverdale, Saturday 10th October 2:30 and 7:30
Silverdale WI are delighted to be hosting the professional Mikron Theatre Company for two performances of their comedy "Raising Agents". It's our big event to celebrate the WI's centenary year. We look forward to welcoming members of other WIs, and their friends and families, and anyone else, to come and enjoy the show with us.
Where: Gaskell Memorial Hall, Emesgate Lane, Silverdale, Carnforth LA5 0RA (in the middle of the village - see map below)
When: Saturday 10th October: Matinee at 2:30pm and Evening show at 7:30pm
How Much?: Matinee: £8 for WI members and concessions , £10 full price (and free tea and biscuit).
Evening: £10 WI etc / £12 full.
Reserved seats? No, but if you book 6 or more tickets we'll reserve you a block of seats together

How do we get there?:
Rail: There is a railway station at Silverdale but it's well outside the village and about half an hour's walk to the Gaskell Hall. A shuttle bus to the village centre (Service 1) connects with many daytime trains, but only runs up to 7pm. On a Saturday it runs from the station at 09:38, 11:00, 11:49, 13:01, 13:53, 14:24, 15:51, 16:22, 17:22, 18:08, 18:53, and from the village to the station at 17:44 and 18:29. It takes about 12 minutes (it does some detours).
Bus: The 51 bus service from Carnforth to the village stops at the Gaskell Hall. On a Saturday, buses leave Carnforth (Haw Hill stop, near railway station) at 09:58, 11:08.12:38, 13:43, 14:43, 15:43, 17:18, 18:13 and take 25 minutes to get to Silverdale. Buses leave Silverdale for Carnforth at 17:40, 18:35, 20:01, 21:01, and 23:01.
Driving: There is some parking at the hall, and roadside parking around the village. Silverdale is about 15 minutes drive from M6 junction 35.
Coach: Cumbria-Westmorland Federation of WIs hopes to arrange a coach trip to the matinee from Appleby, Tebay, Preston Patrick - contact your local WI secretary for more information.
